Orexin Receptor Complex

orexin receptor and suvorexant, view 1 orexin receptor and suvorexant, view 2

Suvorexant is an orexin receptor antagonist used to treat insomnia. Above are two views of the human OX2 orexin receptor bound to suvorexant (PDB 4s0v), as described in:

Crystal structure of the human OX2 orexin receptor bound to the insomnia drug suvorexant. Yin J, Mobarec JC, Kolb P, Rosenbaum DM. Nature. 2015 Mar 12;519(7542):247-50.
Image creation: Suvorexant is shown as spheres colored by element. Ribbons are in the edged representation, with receptor secondary structure elements rainbow-colored from blue at the N-terminus to red at the C-terminus, and white inside-helix faces. The glycogen synthase insertion is de-emphasized as a thin ribbon (bottom of left image, mostly out of frame). The orthographic (non-perspective) projection is used, and contrast has been decreased to 0.5. Titles were added with Chimera's 2D Labels tool.
