Hi Markus,
We are certainly interested in getting an OS X version working, and the
beta development tools Apple recently released got us a lot further than we
had been able to get previously. Right now, those tools have a bug in the
runtime linker and we need Apple to fix it to get any farther. When Python
attempts to load the C++ Chimera core module (which in turn links in some
C++ libraries that require initialization) the linker gets hung in a
semaphore lock. We have communicated our difficulties to Apple
representatives and are waiting for them to get back to us about submitting
the simple test case we made to reproduce the problem. We expect to hear
from Apple soon, but have no idea how long it will take to go from bug
submission to a usable fix.
	Keep your fingers crossed. :-)
