* Hiring an Elaine replacement
 - Eric summarized Elaine's main duties in the lab: documentation, quality control, licensing.
 - Made compelling case that these are essential and we may need to hire a replacement if funding permits.
 - We do not have a good alternative without Elaine for quality control.
 - Tom Ferrin notes any hiring decision would have to be after seeing if R35 and R24 grants are awarded.
 - Scooter proposed that when endowed chair position filled, the lab may submit an R24 grant proposal.

* Endowed chair
 - Tom Ferrin reports that posting advertisements for filling RBVI endowed chair position is on hold because of UC-wide migration to Oracle HR management system.
 - Not clear when next steps on filling endowed chair will be possible.

* PDB web accessibility remediation
 - RBVI web site siteimprove score is 97%
 - 30 PDFs and 300 videos still flagged by UCSF accessibility project.
 - Greg tried AI PDF fixing tool on Wrappy paper.  Added meta data, mangled title.
 - Tom Ferrin notes that UCOP accessibility FAQ allows an exception marked archival PDFs and videos.

* Toolshed database performance
 - Toolshed MariaDB instance was using 50% CPU.
 - Greg saw 500K https GET queries on ToolShed in 10 days, and 300K involved database query.
 - Most database queries no return cached result.

* Wynton admin scripts migration to plato
 - Greg is migrating account administration scripts from Wynton back to plato.
 - Wynton BeeGFS contract expires March 2027.
 - Expected that Wynton may be shutdown in 1 year.
