This is a bug in Apple's Intel graphics driver specific to your MacBook Pro model (MacBookPro16,2). It does not occur in M1/M2/M3 Macs or most other Intel Macs. Apple is not going to fix it, so the only option if you have to save images with silhouette edges is to use another computer. You can save a ChimeraX session (.cxs file) on your laptop and copy that session to another computer with working graphics to save an image.
