Discussion
- Ssh security warning on Mac
- Greg says Tom's Mac still has an ssh security warning.
- Needs ssh 10.3 but has 10.2p1.
- Mac is at macOS 26.5.1. Tom will update to 26.5.2.
- Check other Macs to see if they have newer ssh.
- Greg may file exemption if macOS does not offer a fix.
- Package updates
- Eric update PyPi packages used by ChimeraX Python shell.
- New window resize bug reported by Tristan in Qt 6.11.
- AI visualization
- Tom Ferrin asked about AI visualization example from OMSF workshop.
- TomG got slides for Open Molecular Software Foundation talk on AI visualization by Dion Whitehead.
- Might be interesting to try to make a coupled sequence alignment and structure web view using these tools.
- Chimera 1.20 release
- Greg made Mac and Windows Chimera 1.20 release with newer Tcl/Tk that fixes Mac graphics not being positioned correctly in window.
- Linux Chimera 1.20 build failed not finding freetype2 headers. Greg is looking at it.
- Doing Elaine's tasks
- Discussed how to write documentation, answer user email, quality control on new features, make feature highlights, document new citations, without Elaine.
- Aim is to keep up Elaine's high standards.
- Roadmap for ChimeraX 1.13 release in December
- Eric working on writing DMS surface files and making metal geometry tool.
- Tom working on handling deletions and insertions in mutation data, and fetching mutation data from MaveDB.
